DESCRIPTION:Opening Day happens to coincide with National BBQ Day\, so we will celebrate appropriately with a Polynesian-themed BBQ! Get your Hawaiian shirts ready to dance in the East Beach Pavillion to live music by local singer/guitarist Kurt Gibbons while enjoying Pina Coladas. \nDinner will be catered by Bayside Bull\, with an island-inspired menu to include maple-glazed sausage/pineapple bites\, jerk pork loin with pineapple salsa\, bacon-wrapped shrimp skewers\, citrus marinated chicken breasts\, tomato cucumber salad\, sweet potato hash\, tropical fruit salad\, coconut rice\, fresh-baked slider rolls\, cornbread\, and key lime pie. \nWine\, beer\, NA beer\, and soft drinks will be provided. \nAs a bonus to kick off the season\, we’ll have a raffle drawing for some nice tote bags and other donated goodies (proceeds go to the Club). \nNOTE: There is a 60-ticket limit\, and tickets must be purchased by: Friday\, May 8th. \nTickets are $45 for members and $50 for guests. \nPurchase tickets for Opening Day  \nTickets sales have ended \n

SUMMARY:Memorial Day Weekend Cruise to Solomons
DESCRIPTION:HBYC is heading to Spring Cove Marina in Solomons Island for Memorial Day Weekend. Make your reservations early so you are sure to get a slip. \nSlip reservations should be made for Saturday (5/23/2026) and Sunday (5/24/2026) nights via Dockwa ASAP.  Include “Cruising with Herring Bay Yacht Club” in the special requests section. \nOnce you’ve secured your reservation\, please complete the sign-up sheet below so that we know you’ll be joining us. When doing so\, be sure to let us know if you are extending your trip so that we can facilitate planning joint activities for those who arrive early or depart late. \nSpring Cove’s events for the weekend have been announced. On Saturday\, there will be a Shrimp Cookout from 2PM -5PM and music by Funkzilla from 6PM – 9PM. Sunday\, DJ Duncan will entertain from 1PM – 4PM. Note that the Greiner’s saw Funkzilla last summer and said they were great. \nSign up for the Memorial Day Weekend Cruise to Solomons \nOne more thing… please take a moment to review our Cruise Host Guidelines and consider stepping up to host.
