DESCRIPTION:HBYC Donation Drive\nAs you know\, Covid 19 cases and hospitalizations have been increasing substantially over the past few weeks. In response to this surge\, both Maryland’s Governor Hogan and Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman have announced new regulations. Effective Friday\, November 13th\, social gatherings In Anne Arundel County are limited to 25 people outdoors and 10 people indoors. Operations at bars and restaurants are limited to 25% capacity. Given these restrictions and Herrington Harbours demonstrated compliance with Covid restrictions\, it is impossible for us to hold the Turkey Fry. \nWhile the physical event has been cancelled\, we would still like to proceed with the charity initiative. The beneficiary this year is an organization that assists individuals and families impacted by Covid – the Maryland Food Bank. With the surge in cases\, there will be an increase in the number of people needing assistance making our contributions that much more important. If you would like to donate to this worthy cause\, please mail a check to: \nTreasurer G. Borchelt \nHerring Bay Yacht Club \nP.O. Festivities start with a seafood extravaganza cooked by our head chef and Rear Commodore\, Jeff Wyvill\, and his selected cooking crew. This extravaganza includes beer and wine\, our traditional new England clam chowder made fresh by the ladies of HBYC and fresh shucked oysters. Lobsters\, clams\, fresh fish\, corn and potatoes are served just before 5 under a big tent on the beach. We will be staying at the Onancock Wharf Marina. The marina has 12 floating dock slips that are 16 plus ft. wide\, 2 bulkhead and 1 wide beam (stationary) slip. Water is generally 5-7 feet deep at the floating docks. The bulkhead accommodates boats up to 84 feet with water generally 7.5 feet deep. Slips at $2.00 per foot; $7.50 for 30 Amp\, $15 for 50 Amp.
