Layovers are expected on the way down and back but are not club stays. Group together as you wish. When making your reservations, be sure to mention that you are “Cruising with Herring Bay Yacht Club”.
Additional important information:
Cavalier GYC – Per the Dockmaster on 2/20/26: For the Marina, Dockage is $5.00 per foot per day and $30 per day for electric. I’m willing to give you all a discount on dockage to $4.00 per foot per day. Being that you’re bringing several boats, I can offer a fuel discount as well of 15 cents per gallon. There is no guest fee to use the pool. The club has changed rates recently so I’m working on getting you an accurate price for Golf, Pickleball, and Tennis.
Cape Charles Town Docks: They expect to have multiple slips available 8/20. Golf cart rentals are available but book now. Both of the companies below will leave the golf cart at the marina and pick it up from there after the rental. They are both recommended by the Dockmaster.
