Dinghy Safari / Poker Run
Back by popular demand… it’s the Rockhold Creek Dingy Safari and Poker Run! Join fellow HBYC members for an expedition as we dingy-pool, carpool, paddle, or bike to each of 5 waterfront establishments (Dockside, Skipper’s Pier, Wharf 38, Happy Harbor, and The Boat House) along Rockhold Creek in Deale.
Starting at noon, visit the first 4 in any order, but end at The Boat House by 3pm. Upon arrival at each location, go to the outside bar (hostess station at Wharf 38) and ask for the HBYC sealed envelope (NO PEEKING) containing one Poker card at each location. Participants receive one card (envelope) per person at each location, then hang out for a bit, enjoy food/drinks (on own dime).
All participants convene at The Boat House by 3:00 pm (look for the HBYC Banner located near the pool) where they pay $5 for the 5th card. The Dealer will open the envelopes and record the hands. The Winner gets 50% of the pot and the Club gets other 50%. Then sit back, relax and enjoy music by First Friday band (look for our own Steve Fass behind the drum kit!)
